Uses:
  • To provide excellent acceleration of strength gain at early ages and major increases in strength at all ages by significantly reducing water demand in a concrete mix. ! Typical Dosage:
  • The optimum dosage of Conplast SP430 to meet specific requirements should always be determined by trial mixes using the materials and conditions that will be experienced in use. For high strength, water reduced concrete the normal dosage range is from 1.00 to 3.00 litres/100 kg of cementitious material, including PFA, GGBFS and microsilica. For high workability concrete the normal dosage range is from 0.70 to 2.00 litres/100 kg of cementitious material.

Use at other Dosages:
  • Dosages outside the typical ranges quoted above can be used to meet particular requirements. Contact Fosroc for advice.

Effects of Overdosing:
  • An overdose of double the amount of Conplast SP430 will result in an increase in retardation as compared to that normally obtained. Provided that adequate curing is maintained, the ultimate strength of the concrete will not be impaired by increased retardation and will generally be increased. The effects of overdosing will be further increased if sulphate resisting cement or cement replacement materials are used.

Instructions for use:
Mix Design:
Where the main requirement is to improve strengths, initial trials should be made with normal concrete mix designs. The addition of the admixture will allow the removal of water from the mix whilst maintaining workability. After initial trials, minor modifications to the overall mix design may be made to optimise performance.

High performance water reducing and superplasticising admixture for microsilica concrete

Uses:
  • To produce pumpable concrete
  • To produce high strength, high grade concrete by substantial reduction in water resulting in low permeability and high early strength.
  • To produce high workability concrete requiring little or no vibration during placing.

Advantages:
  • Improved workability - Easier, quicker placing and compaction.

Standards:
  • Conplast SP500 complies with IS:9103:1999 and BS:5075 Part 3 and with ASTM C494 Type ‘F’ and ‘G’ admixture depending on dosage. Also Confi rms to IS 2645-2003 as waterproofi ng admixture.

Description:
  • Conplast SP500 is based on Sulphonated Napthalene Polymers and is supplied as a brown liquid instantly dispersible in water. Conplast SP500 has been specially formulated to give high water reductions upto 25% without loss of workability or to produce high quality concrete of reduced permeability.

Properties:
  • Compatibility: Can be used with all types of cements except high alumina cement. Conplast SP500 is compatible with other types of Fosroc admixtures when added separately to the mix. Site trials should be carried out to optimise dosages.
  • Workability: Can be used to produce fl owing concrete that requires no compaction. Some minor adjustments may be required to produce high workable mix without segregation.
  • Cohesion: Cohesion is improved due to dispersion of cement particles thus minimising segregation and improving surface fi nish.
  • Compressive strength: Early strength is increased upto 40% if water reduction is taken advantage of. Generally, there is improvement in strength upto 20% depending upon W/C ratio and other mix parameters.
  • Durability: Reduction in W/C ratio enables increase in density and impermeability thus enhancing durability of concrete.

Application instructions:
  • Dosage: Trials need to be carried out at site to determine the exact dosage of the admixture for the particular mix design and materials. However for normal grades of concrete a dosage from 0.5% - 1.0% by weight of cementitious material is recommended, the dosage may be increased to 1.5% to achieve specifi c slump requirements. For microsilica concrete where a high amount of water reduction and slump retention are required, trials need to be carried out to arrive at the correct dosage, as the dosage may increase upto 2.0% or even upto 2.5% by weight of cementitious material depending on mix design and performance required.
  • Use at other Dosages: Dosages outside the typical ranges quoted above can be used to meet particular requirements. Contact Fosroc for advice.
  • Overdosage: An overdose of above the recommended level of admixture may result in high workability, slight increase in air entrainment and retardation of setting time. The ultimate strength of the concrete will not be adversely affected and will generally be higher than for normal concrete if properly placed and cured.

Description:
  • Auramix 200 is a unique combination of the latest generation superplasticisers , based on special polymers with long lateral chains. At the start of the mixing process this special polymers develop an electrostatic repulsion which greatly improves separation and dispersion of cement particles .This mechanism considerably reduces the water demand in flowable concrete. Auramix 200 combines the properties of water reduction and workability retention. It allows the production of high performance concrete and/or concrete with high workability retention. Auramix 200 is a strong superplasticiser allowing production of consistent concrete properties around the required dosage.

Packaging:
  • Auramix 200 is available in 200 litre drums and bulk tanker.

Storage:
  • Auramix 200 has a minimum shelf life of 12 months provided the temperature is kept within the range of 20C to 500 C and stored in unopened containers. If temperature of the product fall outside this range then contact local Fosroc office for advice.

Precautions:
  • Health and safety instructions: Auramix 200 does not fall into the hazard classifications of current regulations. However, it should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable protective gloves and goggles should be worn. Splashes on the skin should be removed with water. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical attention immediately - do not induce vomiting. Fire:
  • Auramix 200 is water based and non- flammable.

Cleaning and Disposal:
  • Spillages of Auramix 200 should be absorbed onto sand, earth or vermiculite and transferred to suitable containers. Remnants should be hosed down with large quantities of water.

Concure WB is a white, low viscosity wax emulsion which incorporates a special alkali reactive emulsion breaking system. This system ensures that the emulsion breaks down to form a non penetrating continuous film immediately upon contact with a cementitious surface. This impervious film prevents excessive water evaporation which in turn permits more efficient cement hydration, thus reducing shrinkage and increasing durability.


Once formed, the membrane will remain on the concrete surface until eventually broken down and eroded by natural weathering. Where it is required to apply a further treatment to such concrete surface, it may be necessary to remove the membrane remaining after curing by wire brushing or other mechanical means.

Uses

For spraying on freshly cast concrete, or newly exposed concrete surfaces after removal of form work, to form a temporary membrane which will retain sufficient moisture for effective curing to take place. Used for concreting generally but especially useful for large areas of concrete such as pavements, runways and bridge decks; also for vertical or sloping surfaces as on towers, chimneys, canal linings, columns and beams, where water curing is difficult or unreliable.

Conplast P211 is a chloride free water reducing admixture based on selected sugar-reduced lignosulphonates. It is supplied as a brown solution which instantly disperses in water.


Conplast P211
disperses the fine particles in the concrete mix, enabling the water content of the concrete to perform more effectively and improving the consistency of the concrete. This produces higher levels of work ability for the same water content, allowing benefits such as water reduction and increased strengths to be taken.


Uses:

  • To improve the effectiveness of the water content of a concrete mix.
  • At higher dosages to provide a cost effective means of reducing concrete permeability and thereby reducing water penetration.

Effects of Overdosing

The effects of overdosing will be further increased if sulphate resisting cement or cement replacement materials are used.
  • Overdosage may also cause increased air entrainment,which will tend to reduce strength. The degree of this effect will depend on the particular mix design and overdose level.

  • Excellent hydrating properties. Cement can only gradually harden after being mixed with water, by adding W&H TILEMATE with extra hydrating power, cement will possess sufficient moisture to cure completely. This enables strong adhesion of laid tiles and prevents tiles from coming oft.
  • Longer working time enables works to progress at a reasonable pace. Longer working time allows error adjustments and tile alignment.
  • Better heat tolerance. Three types of components are used in the tiling of outer walls (i.e.: substrate, latex mortar, and tiles), therefore the expansion coefficients of the three different materials need to be considered. At high temperatures, the expansion of the tiles on the surfaces is different from the latex mortar or the substrate; this creates stress In the middle layer and causes loss of adhesiveness. W&H TILEMATE provides sufficient tenacity that enables the to be fully distributed. thus prevents loss of adhesiveness.
  • Newly poured concrete shrinks when hardening, this causes stress In the latex mortar and results in tiles falling off. By using W&H TILEMATE with tenacity that absorbs the stress from the shrinkage, tile bonding can be enhanced.
  • Tiles and latex mortar bond on the basis of the infiltration of mortar into capillary pores on the back of the tiles. Advanced tile manufacturing technology has reduced the number of capillary pores at the back of the tiles and lowered the water absorption; as such, the bonding ability is significantly reduced. By using W&H TILEMATC latex mortar will have better bonding power, and thus tile adhesion is enhanced.

Caution:
  • When preparing W&N TILEMATE solution, the water is to be stirred continuously while W&H TILEMATE Is slowly added. Lumps will be formed if W&H TILEMATE is added too quickly or too much at one time.
  • The W&H TILEMATE solution can be kept for three months. It is to be tightly covered to prevent drying.
  • The thickness of the mortar mixture of W&N TILEMATE solution and cement can be adjusted according to individual working needs. The thickness is adjusted by controlling the amount of cement added.
  • The above is the standard mode of application. The adhesiveness of the product can be adjusted according to the on-site requirement by increasing or decreasing the amount of water added. (60 - 100kg)
