Fast setting emergency patching mortar for concrete pavements and floors conforming to the requirements of BS EN 1504-3 Class R4.

Uses:
  • For emergency and permanent reinstatement of localised patches in concrete pavements, airport aprons, access ramps and floors.
  • Particuly useful when interuption of traffic must be minimised
  • The product is alkaline in nature and will protect embedded steel reinforcement. It may be used internally and externally.
  • For the reinstatement of large areas of concrete pavements and floors, the use of Paveroc is recommended.
  • Patchroc GP is suitable for repair methods 3.1, 3.2, 4.4, 7.1 and 7.2, as defined by BS EN 1504-3.

Description:
  • Patchroc GP is supplied as a ready to use blend of dry powders which requires only the site addition of clean water to produce a highly consistent repair mortar. It is based on Portland cements, graded aggregates, and chemical additives providing a mortar with good handling characteristics while minimising water demand. The low water requirement ensures good strength gain and long-term durability. Patchroc GP is designed for horizontal use. It may be applied up to a maximum thickness of 100 mm. Thicker sections can be built up in layers. Material should not be applied at less than 12 mm thickness. Individual bay sizes should not exceed 4m². Consult the local Fosroc office for further information.

Specification Clause:
The repair mortar shall be Patchroc GP, a one component cementitious mortar conforming to the requirements of BS EN 1504-3 Class R4
The cured mortar shall achieve a compressive strength of 65 MPa at 28 days and a drying shrinkage of <300 microstrain at 7 days.

Standards compliance:
Patchroc GP complies with the classification R4 according to EN 1504-3, repair methods 3.1, 3.2, 4.4, 7.1 and 7.2 Patchroc GP complies with LU Standard 1-085 ‘Fire Safety Performance of Materials’.

High performance medium weight concrete reinstatement mortar conforming to the requirements of BS EN 1504-3 Class R3.

Uses:
  • For the reinstatement of concrete where low permeability characteristics are required but where high compressive strength is not the most important consideration. Where higher compressive strengths and low permeability characteristics are required, Renderoc HB45 should be used.
  • Renderoc GP has been specifically developed for vertical repair work.

Conplast SD110 is a brown liquid which has been formulated for optimum performance as a cement saver under manufacturing conditions encountered in Concrete blocks. Improved formulation helps in both cement dispersion and compaction, maximising the strength obtained from the cement used.

Uses:
  • Conplast SD110 is used to reduce material cost by reduction in cement without loss of strength or by increasing strength without additional cement. To get high early strength to improve upon productivity.

Advantages:
  • Cement saving - strength, density and yield maintained with less cement.
  • Increased strengths - higher strength without additional cement
  • Reduction in breakages - reduced breakages through increased 'green strength'.
  • Improved production - production cycle time can be reduced allowing more blocks to be produced in a given period.

Application Instructions
Dosage:
  • Conplast SD110 is supplied as ready to use materials. Optimum dosage is best determined by site trials. 0.40 litres per 100 Kg of cement is normally used.

Dispensing:
  • The measured quantity of Conplast SD110 should be added alongwith the guaging water. It should be noted that Conplast SD110 should be thoroughly stirred before use. For best results Conplast SD110 should be added in wet mixes.

Over Dosing:
  • An over dose of double the normal quantity can result in set retardation.

Estimating:
  • Packaging: Conplast SD110 is supplied in 5, 20, and 200 llitre containers.

Storage
  • Shelf life: Conplast SD110 has a shelf life of 12 months, when stored under normal ambient temperatures. Should be protected from extreme temperatures and stored in shade.

Precautions:
  • Health and Safety instructions Conplast SD110 is non toxic. Any splashes to the skin should be washed immediately with water. Splashes to the eyes may be washed immediately with water and medical advise shall be sought.

  • Conplast SP440(M) is a blend of organic polymers and is supplied as a brown liquid instantly dispersible in water. Conplast SP440(M) has been specially formulated to give high water reductions upto 25% without loss of workability or to produce high quality concrete of reduced permeability.

Properties:
  • Compatibility: Can be used with all types of cements except high alumina cement. Conplast SP440(M) is compatible with other types of Fosroc admixtures when added separately to the mix. Site trials should be carried out to optimise dosages.
  • Workability : Can be used to produce flowing concrete that requires no compaction. Some minor adjustments may be required to produce high workable mix without segregation.
  • Cohesion: Cohesion is improved due to dispersion of cement particles thus minimising segregation and improving surface finish.
  • Compressive strength: Early strength is increased upto 40 to 50% if water reduction is taken advantage of. Generally, there is improvement in strength upto 20% depending upon W/C ratio and other mix parameters.
  • Durability: Reduction in W/C ratio enables increase in density and impermeability thus enhancing durability of concrete.

Application instructions:
  • Dosage: Trials need to be carried out at site to optimise the dosage of the admixture for the particular mix design and materials. However as a guide the rate of addition is generally in the range of 0.5% to 1.2% by weight of cement for normal grades of concrete. A dosage of upto 1.5% may be used depending on the mix design and to achieve specific slump requirements.
  • Use at other dosages Dosages outside the typical ranges quoted above can be used to meet particular requirements. Conta ct Fosroc for advice.
  • Over dosage An overdose of above the recommended level of admixture may result in high workability, slight increase in air entrainment and retardation of settingtime. The ultimate strength of the concrete will not not be adversely affected and will generally be higher than for normal concrete if properly placed and cured.
  • Dispensing The measured quantity of Conplast SP440(M) should be added along with the gauging water. For best results, add Conplast SP440(M) in the last phase after prewetting the mix with 80% of the total water required.

Compatibility:

Workability:
Can be used to produce flowing concrete that requires no compaction. Some minor adjustments may be required to produce high workable mix without segregation.

Cohesion: Cohesion is improved due to dispersion of cement particles thus minimising segregation and improving surface finish.

Compressive strength: Conplast SP430IJM is primarily highly efficient superplasticiser giving large increase in workability without significant change in compressive strength.

Conplast SP430IJM may be used to produce substantial water reduction resulting in a considerable increase in compressive strength.

Durability: Reduction in W/C ratio enables increase in density and impermeability thus enhancing durability of concrete.

Application Instructions
Dosage:
The optimum dosage is best determined by site trials with the concrete mix which enables the effects of workability, strength gain or cement reduction to be measured. Site trials with Conplast SP430IJM should always be compared with mix containing no admixture. As a guide, the rate of addition is generally in the range of 0.6 - 1.5 litres /100 kg cement. For any deviations in dosage in special applications, please contact Fosroc Technical Services.

Over Dosing: An over dose of double the recommended amount of Conplast SP430IJM, will result in very high workability and some retardation of setting time will occur. However, the ultimate compressive strength will not be impaired.

Dispensing: The measured quantity of Conplast SP430IJM should be added along with the gauging water. For best results, add Conplast SP430IJM in the last phase after prewetting the mix with 80% of the total water required.
