• Nitocote EP405 is a two pack, solvent free, epoxy resin material. It is supplied in pre-measured quantities ready for site mixing and use. The material cures to provide a smooth, hygienic and tough finish which is suitable for contact with potable water and foodstuffs. It is available in blue and white colours.

• Nitocote EP405 is designed to be applied in two coats to achieve a minimum total dry film thickness of 200 microns. To achieve the correct protective properties, Nitocote EP405 must be applied on to the substrate at the coverage rates recommended.

• All surfaces must be smooth, sound and free from debris, loose or flaking material and areas of standing water. Surfaces must be free from contamination such as oil, grease, dust, loose particles and organic growth. Concrete surfaces must be fully cured, laitance free and free from any traces of shuttering, release oils and curing compounds. All surfaces should then be grit blasted to remove all foreign matter and open up blow-holes, and provide a suitable key for Nitocote EP405. All blow holes and imperfections should be filled with Nitocote VF / Nitomortar FC.

• All surfaces should be grit blasted to obtain bright metal surface. The lining work should be programmed so that newly cleaned steel is coated as soon as possible before the formation of rust or scale.

• The contents of the base can should be stirred thoroughly to disperse any settlement. The entire contents of the hardener can should be poured into the base container and mixed thoroughly until a uniform consistency is obtained, taking particular care to scrape the sides and bottom of the container. It is recommended that mechanical mixing be employed, using a mixer or a heavy duty, slow speed electric drill fitted with a paddle.

Nitocote EP140 coating  is based on solvented epoxy resinsspecially formulated to provide a durable coating suitable forapplication to both vertical and horizontal surfaces.  It curesto form a smooth hygienic film with good resistance to a widerange  of  mineral  and  organic  acids,  fats,  alkalis  and  oils.

Uses:

Nitocote EP140 is used as a hygienic and chemical resistantcoating  for  steel  tanks,  concrete  walls,  concrete  and  metalcolumns,  sluices  and  ducts.

• Nitoproof 120 is based on selected bitumens that are blended together with non-asbestos reinforcing fibres to provide an outstanding liquid grade material used for intermediate thickness coating. 
• When dry Nitoproof 120 produces quality, high film build flexible bitumen coating.

• All surfaces must be clean and dry and all loosely adhering particles such as rust, mill scale, mortar, cement laitance etc should be carefully removed by wire or stiff brushing and finally soft brushing to remove dust.
• Surfaces must be free from oil and grease. In the case of cementitious surfaces, oil and grease can be removed with proprietary chemical degreaser and in the case of steelwork, oil or grease should be removed by Fosroc Solvent 102*. 
• Surfaces to be treated with Nitoproof 120 coating should always be primed with Nitoproof 110.

• Stir well until a homogeneous mix is achieved. In case of part use close the drum tightly in order to avoid the gelling of the part material. Nitoproof 120 can be applied by brush, roller or spray equipment.
• Below Ground: Apply Nitoproof 110 as a prime coat onto the prepared substrate. Apply Nitoproof 120 evenly over the dry primed surface. 
• Economy roof membrane for non-critical areas: For low cost roofing application, the roof slab should be at least 28 days old, the surface prepared by priming with Nitoproof 110. Cracks will be highlighted as the bitumen coating dries and when completely dry, should be dealt with by applying 1 coat of Nitoproof 120 over the cracks at 1mm thickness, 50mm either side. Nitoproof Scrim* reinforcement should then be embedded into the Nitoproof 120 then overcoated with a second coat of 1mm w.f.t..
