Conplast SP430 G8 is based on  Sulphonated Napthalene Polymers and supplied as a brown liquid instantly dispersible in water. Conplast SP430 G8 has been specially formulated to give high water reductions upto 25% without loss of workability or to produce high quality concrete of reduced permeability.


Uses:

• To produce pumpable concrete
• To produce high strength, high grade concrete M30 & above by substantial reduction in water resulting in low permeability and high early strength.
• To produce high workability concrete requiring little or no vibration during placing.

Workability : Can be used to produce flowing concrete thatrequires no compaction. Some minor adjustments may berequired to produce high workable mix without segregation.

Cohesion : Cohesion is improved due to dispersion ofcement particles thus minimising segregation and improvingsurface finish.

Compressive strength : Early strength is increased upto 40% if water reduction is taken advantage of. Generally, there is improvement in strength upto 20% depending upon W/Cratio and other mix parameters.
Durability : Reduction in W/C ratio enables increase in densityand impermeability thus enhancing durability of concrete.

Application instructions

DosageTrials need to be carried out at site to determine the exactdosage of the admixture for the particular mix design andmaterials. However for normal grades of concrete a dosagefrom 0.5% - 1.0% by weight of cementitious material isrecommended, the dosage may be increased to 1.5% toachieve specific slump requirements. For microsilicaconcrete where a high amount of water reduction and slumpretention are required, trials need to be carried out to arrive atthe correct dosage, as the dosage may increase upto 2.0%or even upto 2.5% by weight of cementitious materialdepending on mix design and performance required.

OverdosageAn overdose of above the recommended level of admixturemay result in high workability, slight increase in air entrainmentand retardation of setting time. The ultimate strength of theconcrete will not be adversely affected and will generally behigher than for normal concrete if properly placed and cured. 

DispensingThe measured quantity of Conplast SP500 should be addedalong with the gauging water. For best results, add ConplastSP500 in the last phase after prewetting the mix with 80% ofthe total water required.

Auramix 350 is a high performance super plasticizer suitablefor low and high grade concrete and intended for applicationswhere high water reduction and long workability retentionsare required.

Electrostatic dispersionmechanism considerably reduces the water demand in flowableconcrete. It is supplied as a light brown liquid, instantlydispersible in water.

Auramix 350 disperses the cement particles effectively in theconcrete mix and hence exposes a larger surface area to thehydration process. This effect is used either to increase thestrength or to produce high workability concrete or reducecement content of concrete or to retard the setting time ofconcrete.

DosageThe optimum dosage of Auramix 350 to meet specific requirement should always be determined by conducting laboratory and batch trials. However the normal dosage ranges between 0.3 to 2.0 precent by weight of total cement or binder content.

Dosage

Trials need to be carried out at site to optimise the dosage ofthe admixture for the particular mix design and materials.However as a guide the rate of addition is generally in therange of 0.5% to 1.2% by weight of cement for normal gradesof concrete. A dosage of upto 1.5% may be used dependingon the mix design and to achieve specific slump requirements.
Over dosage
An overdose of above the recommended level of admixturemay result in high workability, slight increase in air entrainment and retardation of settingtime. The ultimate strength of the concrete will not not be adversely affected and will generally be higher than for normal concrete if properly placed and cured.

• To provide excellent acceleration        of strength gain at early ages and major increases in strength at all ages by significantly reducing water demand in a concrete mix. ! Particularly suitable for precast concrete and other high early strength requirements. ! To significantly improve the workability of site mixed and precast concrete without increasing water demand. ! To provide improved durability by increasing ultimate strengths and reducing concrete permeability.

Advantages:

• Major increases in strength at early ages without increased cement contents are of particular benefit in precast concrete, allowing earlier stripping times.
• Makes possible major reductions in water:cement ratio which allow the production of high strength concrete without excessive cement contents.

Superplasticising slump          retaining admixture

Uses:

• Conplast SP430 SRV is used where a high degree of workability is required and also as an aid to workability retention where delays in transportation or placing are likely or when high ambient temperatures cause rapid slump loss. To facilitate production of high quality concrete of improved durability and water tightness.

Compressive Strength: Conplast SP430SRV is primarily ahighly efficient superplasticiser giving large increase inworkability without significant changes in compressivestrength.

Conplast SP430SRV may be used to produce substantialwater reduction resulting in a considerable increase incompressive strength.

Mix Design: As with all admixtures that produce flowingconcrete, the design technique should be based on highcohesion pump mix technology. Specialist advise from Fosrocis available on request.

Application instructions

Dosage: It is recommended that the optimum dosage isdetermined by site trials with the actual concrete mix. As aguide the rate of addition is generally in the range 0.35 to 0.90 litres/100 kg cement for normal mixes & 0.5 to 1 litre/100 kg for high cement content mixes. The higher dosage is used where "flowing concrete" is required and may be found necessary to modify concrete mix proportions. Fosroc can advise on mix design if required.

Curing: Normal curing methods such as water spray, wethessian or a Concure curing membrane should be used.
